Villa Angelica was built at the end of 19. century, as landlords residence. After turbulent ages and governance changes, for some time it was used as guest house for the lords travelling from Trieste or Rijeka, falling in oblivion after the 2nd World War. The reconstruction started in 2006, ending its constant degradation and devastation over 50 years.

Villa Angelica offers accommodation for 12 people in 6 elegantly settled rooms. The spacious double beds, LCD TV with satellite connection, safety deposit box as well as bathroom with bathtub or shower in each room, will be a guarantee of full comfort.

Beside the outdoor pool ( 10 X 4m ) and the solarium area, the indoor wellness and fitness area will surely be the ideal to relax and regenerate your body and soul. The Finnish sauna, steam bath and whirlpool, as well as the fitness equippment will offer the best well & fit combination. The marvelous view of the surrounding hills stretching from the large windows will fulfil the feeling of relax and quiet.

The spacious kitchen is fully equipped and accessorized. Stretching out to the dining and living area it makes a good looking and functional unity. Villa Angelica is situated in Oprtalj, picturesque little town in the north western part of Istria, sited on the crest of a hill with spectacular views. Oprtalj is known back from the 12th century as urban residence of the feudal lords. The settlement has conserved its medieval disposition with smaller squares and alleys. Beside St.George's Church dating from the 15th century, your interest will be attracted by the other churches and chapels with well preserved murals from the medieval masters. In this area are also situated Zrenj, well known it the past times for its excellent forgers and carvers, and the thermal resort in St. Stephan, famous for its mineral waters spring. All this area is world known for truffles, tubers of specific taste and smell that are imputed aphrodisiac attributes. The “ Black Truffle Fair “ in summer and the “ Days of Truffle “ in autumn are organized to honour these pearl of our subsoil.
